DUSHANBE, January 11, Asia-Plus - First 31 families, whose unauthorized residential buildings in the cement plant are to be pulled down, have begun constructing new houses in the Khovaron area, microrayon 193 of Dushanbe, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said.
According to the spokesman, a special commission for inspecting vacant lands in the city has found that those 31 families built their residential houses in the area of the Dushanbe cement plant illegally. The families were given plot of 0.003 ha each in the Khovaron area for constructing individual residential buildings.
Saidov added that the individual houses in the Khovaron area should be built in accordance with confirmed competitively selected designs and requirements of the present town-planning norms and rules.
