KULOB, August 23, Asia-Plus — A court in Khatlon’s Danghara district has ruled that three residents of the district R. Murodov, M. Sufiyev, and S. Mahmadaliyev be fined 2000 somonis each for breaking the country’s law on order of observing national traditions and rituals, Asia-Plus has learned at the Danghara commission for controlling implementation of the mentioned law.
According to the commission, the recovered money will be remitted to the country’s public charity.
The mentioned persons were fined for throwing about money at wedding that was held in the local restaurant Shabboda, the commission said.
D. Saidov, chairman of the Kulob regional court, told journalists that the first case of breaking the mentioned law had been reported in the Mouminobod district. “However, the district court has not considered that case because it was drawn up by the chief of local police directorate, while in accordance with legislation, the local commission for controlling implementation of the law on order of observing national traditions and rituals should had dawn up the case, ”
We will recall that under the law adopted on June 7, those who break the order of observing national traditions and rituals will be fined. The fine for ordinary citizens would be 2,000 somonis, for officials 5,000 somonis and for legal entities 10,000 somonis.
