DUSHANBE, December 25, Asia-Plus -- Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has carried out operation on providing humanitarian aid to Tajikistan through making voluntary contribution to the World Food Program in 2007, the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe said.
Train cars loaded with more than 2,200 tons of wheat flour and more than 1,070 tons of peas have already been sent to Tajikistan and now shipment of 278 tons of sunflower oil for sending to Tajikistan is under way.
The Russian agency for providing and coordinating Russia’s participation in international humanitarian operations, Emercom, is delivering the mentioned cargoes to Tajikistan.
