DUSHANBE, March 7, Asia-Plus -- The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Tajikistan, Mr. Rainer Muller, yesterday visited a number of districts in southern Tajikistan that had been hit by an energy crisis, according to the German Embassy in Dushanbe.
In the Qumsangir district, which was also seriously affected by a strong earthquake in July 2006, German envoy together with the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) coordinator got acquainted with a progress of implementation of projects aimed at providing assistance to the local population.
In the Khuroson district, Mr. Muller handed over one of thirty-three generators delivered from Germany to the central district hospital in the presence of the Tajik deputy health minister.
