DUSHANBE, December 27, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A meeting of the Public Council of Tajikistan was held on Friday to determine themes of discussions for 2009.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Public Council executive secretary Nourali Saidov said that the Council members had not yet reached a consensus on themes that will be discussed next year. “However, we have determined approximate themes of future discussions,” said Saidov, “In spring, we will discuss issues related to ensuring food security and problems facing Tajik labor migrants and the energy security issues are supposed to be discussed in the fall.”
The next meeting of the Public Council is scheduled for December 30.
