DUSHANBE, January 6, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Russian specialists will begin assembling a new commutation system center in Dushanbe.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the deputy head of the Hydrometeorology Agency Mahmad Safarov said that the center would give an opportunity to enhance and speed up the process of receiving and diffusing hydromet data. “The new system will work under new computer technology through Internet,” Safarov said.
Russian specialists are also to train Tajik specialists in operating the new commutation system center by the end of this month. The commutation system center was purchased with support for the Swiss Government for the purpose of improving the hydrometeorology system in Tajikistan, Safarov said.
