DUSHANBE, February 17, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Opportunities to develop preparation of labor resources in Tajikistan through primary vocational education are a major topic of a roundtable meeting formally titled “Development of Quality of Preparation of Labor Resources in Tajikistan” that has opened in Dushanbe today morning.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Farhod Sodiqov, the deputy manager of the DVV International project “The Support to Vocational education and Training in Tajikistan – phase II”, said that meeting participants included employers from Dushanbe, representatives of a number of relevant ministries, president’s office, vocational-technical schools and some international organizations active in the country.
The meeting aims to consider issues related to promoting strengthening of role of employers in raising quality of the primary vocational education, creation of mechanisms of partnership between educational facilities, employers and their associations,” Sodiqov said., noting that the meeting participants were going to continue working out draft recommendations on development of the primary vocational education in the country.
