DUSHANBE, August 18, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Employees of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES) under the Government of Tajikistan marked their professional holiday yesterday.
The CES was established by government’s resolution of August 17, 1994. The source at a CES said that estimated total costs of removing emergency situations accounted for 10-15 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
