Dushanbe. 23 August. “Asia-Plus” - Office of Tajikistan’s Ombudsman helped provide housing and access to education for an underage refugee from Afghanistan.
According to the Ombudsman’s press office, their office received information in March that an Afghan girl, who has received refugee status in Tajikistan, is need of help.
The source says: “We found her and held a number of activities in the frame of current legislature in order to solve the girl’s problems.”
Currently the girl is provided with housing and access to education through support of the Ombudsman’s office, Children’s Rights Commission under the Government, Ministries of Interior and Education.
