DUSHANBE, September 8, Asia-Plus -- The case of robbery and arson of the home of known Tajik singer Surayo Qosimova has moved to a court, an official source at the Interior Ministry’s office in Kulob, Komron Taghoyev, told Asia-Plus on September 8.
According to him, four residents of the city of Kulob, including Surayo Qosimova’s niece Muhayo Qosimova, 24, Matlouba Ahrorova, 32, Muzayan Beknazarova, 44, and Jumakhon Beknazarov, 27, are charged with robbing and setting fire to the home of Surayo Qosimova.
We will recall that 24,000 U.S. dollars worth of jewelry were stolen from Surayo Qosimova’s home in Kulob on July 25. The criminals reportedly set fire to the home in order to cover their tracks.
