DUSHANBE, July 30, 2008, Asia-Plus - Kazakhstan plans producing of satellites with foreign partners, said the Responsible Secretary of National Space Agency of Kazakhstan, Ergazy Nurgaliyev, following the results of the two-day international conference devoted to development of space industry on Friday.
Representatives of the Franco-Italian delegation, in particular, ThalesAleniaSpace company (France) has demonstrated big interest in this project. "Kazakhstan plans to develop space industry. The first stage of development will be assembly-testing complexes. We would like to take part in creation of these complexes," ThalesAleniaSpace representative said.
"Construction of such complexes will allow Kazakhstan to build satellites on the territory of the Republic in the future," the chairman of the project ThalesAleniaSpace said.
In addition to assembly-testing complexes, Franco-Italian delegation is interested in satellites projects for scientific analysis, in which Kazakhstan would act in the role of a customer. The delegation is ready to share the experience with the Kazakhstan experts in this sphere.
