Arab businessmen highly rate the potential of cooperation with Turkmenistan and are ready to establish closer partnership for the implementation of large-scale national projects in Turkmenistan, including at the expense of their own investments. This statement was made by the royal family member of the State of Bahrain, Shaykh Faysal Bin-Rashid Bin-Isa Al Khalifa, son of the Bahraini king’s elder brother, at a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the leadership of Bahrain “for taking part in the grandiose work which is aimed at major transformation of life of Turkmen people,” the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.
Shaykh Faysal Bin-Rashid Bin-Isa Al Khalifa asked the president of Turkmenistan to accept a contribution totaling USD 1 million for the development of the material-technical base of a hospital in Serdar district of Balkan province of Turkmenistan “as a sign of friendship and high respect of Turkmenistan and the people of Turkmenistan.”
It should be recalled that the main building of the regional hospital in the city of Serdar of Balkan province was reconstructed in July 2008. The old building of the clinic was completely renovated and made in accordance with WHO standards. The cost USD 2 million project was financed with charity funds of the State of Bahrain.
