Tatarstan has kicked off implementation of the interstate Turkmen-Tatar cooperation on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation signed on June 28, 2009, in the course of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov''s visit to Tatarstan, Turkmenistan.ru reported.
This was unveiled in the letter of Tatarstan''s President Mintimer Shaimiyev to the president of Turkmenistan. The text of the letter was published in central mass media outlets of Turkmenistan today. The letter informs the president of Turkmenistan that Tatarstan has completed all domestic procedures envisaged by the Russian legislation to enforce the agreement. Bodies of state authority of the Republic of Tatarstan received relevant instructions to this effect.
Having assured Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of his high consideration, Mertimer Shaimiyev expressed hope for further productive cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.
