More than US$ 5 billion were allocated for development of fuel and energy complex in 2009, said Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan, Bahyt Sultanov, on Thursday during presentation of the bill on the Republican budget for 2009 - 2011 in Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan.
"One of the largest blocks of the budget is fuel and energy complex. US$ 525 million has been allocated for 2009, in 2010 – US$ 99.7 million, and in 2011 – US$ 623 million," Sultanov said.
Target transfers to local budgets for development of fuel and energy sphere for 2009 – US$ 393 million, for 2010 – US$ 668 million and for 2011 – US$ 462 billion have been allocated in this sum.
To-date, China has invested over $5 billion in Tajikistan's energy sector.
