A delegation of Kyrgyzstan will soon visit Ashgabat. It will hold talks with the Turkmen side on cooperation in the energy sphere. An agreement to this effect was reached by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his Kyrgyz counterpart Kurmanbek Bakiyev during a telephone conversation on 15 September.
The president of Turkmenistan and the president of Kyrgyzstan also discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, implementation of agreements reached earlier as well as other issues of mutual interest.
To-date, China has invested over $5 billion in Tajikistan's energy sector.
