Kyrgyzstan is expected to increase export and import rates in 2008, by 20 and 50 percent respectively, experts of the CIS Statistics Committee reported.
A 50-percent import growth is expected in Ukraine, Tajikistan and Belarus. Russia, Moldova and Georgia will see a 40-45 percent growth. Armenia will raise import by 35 percent, when Azerbaijan by 20-25 percent.
Kyrgyzstan holds the next-to-last place on export growth, leaving behind only Armenia with its 4-8 percent. Experts believe that in Moldova export will grow by 25 percent, in Ukraine – by 30-35 percent, Georgia – by 35 percent, Kazakhstan – by 40 percent, Belarus and Russia – by 50 percent.
