Uzbekistan plans to decrease the export of cotton in 2008/2009 season to 700 thousand tons, because of increasing the size of internal refinement.

Minister of External Economic Relations, Investments, and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev on the opening ceremony of the 4th Uzbekistan International Cotton Fair said that in new season it is expected that internal usage of cotton will increase to 300 thousand tons.
