Unfavorable balance of trade in Kyrgyzstan came to $2,416 billion for 2008, the Kyrgyz National Statistics Committee informed.

According to its data, the state import rate was $4,57.5 billion in 2008. This rate grew by 45.5 percent for a one year period, when the Kyrgyz export volume came to $1,641.5 billion, increasing by 24.3 percent.

As compared to 2007, the export growth was 48.2 percent and import- 44.4 percent.
