Kazakhstan will export 2.5 million tons of gain by September 1, said the President of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan Nurlan Tleubaev at International Grain Conference in Almaty.
“In five month starting with September 1, 2008 we have exported 3 million tons of wheat grain and I think that by September 1, 2009 we will export at least 2.5 million tons more valued at US$750 million,” said Tleubaev.
President of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan noted that “in January 407 thousand tons were exported and in 20 days in February 285 tons. “I think in 10 days 125 tons more will be exported,” he said.
