President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the cabinet of ministers on 27 March in Ashgabat. The meeting discussed the results of the Turkmen president''s official visit to the Russian Federation. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov hailed Turkmen-Russian summit talks as highly productive and noted their constructive and open nature. He also noted that all meetings were held in the traditionally friendly and trustful atmosphere.
"Agreements reached in Moscow and then in St. Petersburg make it possible to bring bilateral interstate cooperation to a higher level, meeting the mutual potential and interests of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Russia," he said. According to the head of state, "it is important to make these agreements practical as soon as possible with the use of all existing possibilities.
