Index of consumer prices in the first quarter of 2009 increased only 0.9% according to official statistics. Consumer prices in reporting period increased only 0.3% in comparison with December, 2008, State Statistics Service data says.

Food products rose in price most of all in Uzbekistan in January-March - 1.2% increase, least of all - 0.4% increase - non-grocery products, services rose in price with 0.8% increase.

In the analogous period of 2008, when consumer prices index constituted 0.8%, services rose in price least of all - 0.4%, food and non-grocery products became 0.9% more expensive.
