The European Union is concerned about some restrictions for observers from the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan, statement of the European Union says.
According to the EU mission to the Kyrgyz Republic, Resident Council has received petition on Kyrgyzstan with reference to the report, prepared by the office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Bishkek on May 27, 2009.
“We are deeply concerned about the fact that invitation letters include some essential restrictions in particular concerning a number of observers of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). Such restrictions can hinder ODIHR participation in observation over coming presidential election,” EU said.
