Another presidential candidate has dropped out of the election race. The Central Election Commission on Kyrgyzstan took the decision on June 13.
A known businessman Akbaraly Aitikeev was denied registration as a candidate when he failed to collect 50 thousand signatures of voters in his support.
As of today there are three officially registered presidential candidates - Kurmanbek Bakiev, Temir Sariev and Jenishbek Nazaraliev. Three more nominees - Almazbek Atambaev, Toktaiym Umetalieva and Nurlan Motuev stand in line for appropriate mandates.
