Kazakhstan speaks for prevention of religious and inter-ethnic clashes, said President Nursultan Nazarbaev in his address to the 3rd Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions on July 1.
"A good purpose, noble desire to share opinions, to strengthen universal values, to establish dialogue of civilizations brought us today in Astana. I am sure that your wise doctrines and constructive suggestions will be heard by all countries and will contribute to bringing peace and mutual accord at the planet," Nursultan Nazarbaev said.
Nursultan Nazarbaev said Astana erected on the cross of Asia and Europe, West and East will become a center of fruitful cooperation of different nations and religions. "We are proud of tolerance of the people of Kazakhstan able to keep inter-ethnic and inter-religious peace and friendship. We strive to convey our positive experience to the international community," the President stressed.
The President expressed his confidence that the 3rd Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions would play a significant role in building inter-religious accord and interaction between civilizations.
77 delegations from 35 countries of the world are participating in the Congress.
