The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, at the government session today assigned the Ministry of Economy and Budgetary Planning of Kazakhstan to develop two scenarios of economic development and to consider its influence on Kazakhstan.
"I would like to assign the Ministry of Economy along with fund Samruk-Kazyna within a month to consider the issue regarding two scenarios of economic development and, as a consequence, its influence on the economy of Kazakhstan," K. Masimov said.
He explained, "The first scenario - the economy is gradually stabilized, the price for oil is in the range of $60 - 70 per barrel, the prices for the basic raw metals, which we export, are in the current range, which is the positive scenario.
"The second scenario - the second for the world and the third for us wave of occurs in August. The price for oil comes back to $40 per barrel with all the consequences," the Prime Minister said.
