Russia is the main foreign trade partner of Uzbekistan following the results of the first half of the year. Its share in republic''s commodity turnover constitutes 19.6% and has increased 106.5% in comparison with that of analogous period in 2008, Uzbek state statistics committee reported.
Volume of export to Russia in first half of 2009 constituted US $1 68 million, import - US $991.4 million.
Other foreign trade partners of the republic in commodity turnover are as follows: Switzerland (12.3%), China (11,1%), Ukraine (7,5%), Kazakhstan (6,9%), Republic of Korea (4,7%), Afghanistan (3,2%), Iran (2,8%), Turkey (2,4%), Germany (2,3%), Tajikistan (1,2%), US (1,2%), and France (1,1%).
