1st exhibition of Kyrgyz national modern art - Nomad. Movement Over Time – will unfold in Bishkek on October 16, 2009, at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Gapar Aitiev, the author of the project Shaarbek Amankulov said.
The event will exhibit works of 20 painters from Karakol, Osh, Jalalabad and Bishkek, whereof installations, videos, photos and theatrical scenes.
The project Nomad. Movement Over Time has been launched by the art centre B''Art in early 2009 to attract attention of the society to urgent problems of the regions through modern art and promote association between artists of Kyrgyzstan.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kyrgyzstan and timed to 15th anniversary of bilateral cooperation.
