Negotiations between "Uzbekneftegas" and Malaysian Petronas companies, in the course of which sides signed a protocol on coming into effort of the Production Sharing Agreement on Urga, Kuanysh, and Akchalak Group Minefields, were held in Tashkent on October 12.
Also, negotiations on progress in Petronas projects in Uzbekistan were held in the course of the day.
Petronas and Uzbek government signed the Production Sharing Agreement on Development of Gas Condensate Minefields of Akchalak Group in May 2009. Under the document each side will own 50% of the production during beginning stage of the agreement.
