Advisor to the Kazakh President Yermukhamet Yertysbayev thinks that 2012 presidential elections must take place.
While speaking about life-long presidency of Nursultan Nazarbaev on Monday, Yertysbayev said that during the visit of Nicolas Sarkozy Nazarbaev has already said that everything will be in accordance with the Constitution.
According to Yertysbayev, it is necessary to define what is the life-long presidency. If it eliminates presidential elections in 2012, in this regard it is necessary to rename the country, which is officially called the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"The republican government foresees the electivity of the authority from top to bottom, including its main holder," Yertysbayev said.
Yertysbayev noticed that he, as the advisor to President, is interested in the oncoming elections.
" It is interesting for me because it is political struggle, polemic, discussion and meetings with electors; it is also lots of newspaper and magazine articles and lots of TV speeches. That is what I have been doing in 2005" he said.
"Thats why the President awarded me with the post of Minister," Yertysbayev said.
