Roman Pontiff Benedict XVI received Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev in Vatican on Friday, reported with reference to the press service of the Holy See.

The visit to Vatican is the ending of the official program of visits of Nursultan Nazarbaev. During the visit to Rome Nazarbaev held talks with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

According to the Italian Prime Minister, during the visit sides signed bilateral trade and economical agreements on billions of US dollars. Sides also noticed the coincidence of positions of two countries concerning important international problems, including the situation in Afghanistan.

After the visit to Vatican the press service of the Holy See reported that in November the Roman Pontiff will receive eight other Presidents and three Prime Ministers, including Presidents of Argentina, Chili, Croatia, Serbia, Emir of Kuwait and Prime Ministers of Hungary and Czech Republic.
