Veterans of the Great Patriotic War will get lifetime pensions in Kyrgyzstan. An appropriate decree was signed by the President the day before.
The document was issued “in tribute of the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and aimed for rendering supplementary social support to the veterans.”
The Second World War disabled veterans, participants, persons, who worked at enterprises, organizations and institution of Leningrad during its siege from September 8, 1941 to January 27, 1944 and awarded Medals for the Defense of Leningrad and Resident of Blockade Leningrad orders, persons from the list of underage prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other centers, established by fascists and their allies during the Second World War will receive monthly three thousand soms president’s grant from April 1, 2010.
Kurmanbek Bakiev has charged the government with raising the funds, required for payment of the monthly allowances.
