A 6.3 magnitude earthquake rattled Naryn oblast of Kyrgyzstan in the early hours (7:55 a.m. local time) on Tuesday. The Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations referring to the National Seismology Institute reported that the tremor measured 6.3 in the epicenter.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, near the Cholpon village 30 km to the west of Kochkorka village and 10 km southeast of Epkin village.
Reportedly, the earthquake also hit Cholpon, Epkin, Ak-Zhol villages – 6 points, in Kochkorka, Zhany-Zhol, Sara-Kaz villages – 5 points, in Zhumgal and Kyzart villages – 4.5 points, in Tokmak – 3.5-4.0 points, in Kant – 4 points, in Bishkek – 3 points.
Neither casualties, nor destructions were reported.
