Uzbekistan built 500 kW high-voltage line between Novo-Angrenskaya Combined Heat and Power Plant and the Ferghana Valley, local media outlet reported.
Pravda Vostoka reported that the construction of the power line with substation allowed to provide interrupted electricity of Ferghana Valley and south of Uzbekistan. The line was built to bypass Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The paper said the high-voltage line was constructed in difficult mountain conditions at the point of 2,500 m above sea level. The specialists carried out drilling-and-blasting works at rocky soils, lay roads, etc.
The edition said the line was built within the cooperation of various industries. The cable plants produced 2,500 tonnes of wires, construction enterprises supplied 10,000 units of ferroconcrete items, and others.
