DUSHANBE, July 28, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Tajikistan has nominated 15 Tajik athletes for the London-2012 grants, instituted by the International Olympic Committee, Murodali Teshayev, a spokesman for NOC, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
“Among them are Rasoul Boqiyev, Muhammad Abdurahmonov, Sherali Bozorov (judo); Jahon Qurbonov, Anvar Yunusov, Mavzouna Choriyeva (boxing); Dilshod Nazarov and Galina Mityaeva (athletics); Yusuf Abdusalomov (free-style wrestling); Murod Tuychiyev (Greco-Roman wrestling); Farhod Anaqulov (free-style wrestling); Sergey Babikov (shooting); Alisher Gulov (taekwon-do WTF); Firouza Zubaydova (archery); and Nizom Sangov (weight lifting),” the spokesman said.
The IOC Commission has not yet determined the grant amount, he added.
