DUSHANBE, June 24, 2011, Asia-Plus -- President of Afghanistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC) Mr. Mohammad Zahir Aghbar arrived in Dushanbe today for a five-day visit.
Jaloliddin Nourov, an aide to the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, says that during his stay in Tajikistan, Mohammad Zahir Aghbar will hold talks with senior representatives of Tajikistan’s NOC and Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs to discuss bilateral cooperation issues.
“Tajikistan and Afghanistan are expected to sign an agreement on development of the Olympic Movement,” Nourov said.
According to him, the Afghan NOC head will also visit a number of sports complexes in Tajikistan and attend events to mark the National Unity Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on June 27.
