DUSHANBE , February 6, Asia-Plus - Rajab Mirzo, editor-in-chief of the independent Dushanbe weekly “Ruzi Nav” (New Day), has been elected head of Democratic party (DPT) organization for Dushanbe .

On February 6, the DPT deputy head, Rahmatullo Valiyev, speaking to journalists said that Rajab Mirzo was elected head of the DPT organization for Dushanbe by means of secret ballot at the organization’s conference that was held in Dushanbe on Sunday [February 5].  According to him, candidacies of three persons were nominated to this post.
