DUSHANBE, March 3, Asia-Plus -- The results of inspection by the Tajik health Ministry of facilities within its jurisdiction have shown that many of them even do not fulfill requirements of the fire-prevention measures.
According to information the Health Ministry, this was noted at a board meeting of the ministry that was held on March 2. The meeting considered a process of implementation of the minister’s order on additional measures to prevent fires in medical facilities in the republic.
“Thus inspections carried out in the central district hospitals in Hissor and Jirgatol districts as well as central hospital in the city of Roghun and Dushanbe Orphanage No 1 have shown that these facilities use faulty and self-made electric heating appliances,” the source said, noting that numerous shortcomings have also been revealed during inspection hostels of Tajikistan’s Medical University and Republican Research Institute of Gynecology and Pediatrics.
