, April 24, Asia-Plus – “There is no yet final decision on parameters of a dam for the Roghun power plant in
Tajikistan
,” Aleksandr Kasatkin, a spokesman for the RusAl representative office in
Dushanbe
, said.
According to him, the company is waiting for the results of independent examination carried out by the World Bank. The examination is expected to be finished by June 15.
As it had been reported earlier, Tajik Energy Minister Jurabek Nurmahmadov Thursday [April 20] told journalists in
Dushanbe
that
Tajikistan
and RusAl had almost agreed on the height of the Roghun dam. According to him, at present the sides are close to reach an agreement, and most likely will settle on the height of 305 meters (with use of five generators).
