DUSHANBE, May 5, Asia-Plus - On Thursday May 4, Tajik Health Minister Nusratullo Fayzulloyev met with Mr. Khalid Filby [phonetically spelled], Country Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Tajikistan, on expansion of cooperation issues.   

According to information from the Tajik Health Ministry, in the course of the talks the two noted that the UNFPA report made a considerable contribution to improvement of the reproductive health of the population in Tajikistan .  

During the meeting it was noted that the UNFPA Country Office last year purchased and supplied to Tajikistan medical and office equipment, as well as medical literature for reproductive health institutions in the republic.   

Besides, under support of the UNFPA Country Office a series of training and seminars for medical personnel of the reproductive health services were conducted in Tajikistan .  

Discussing a working plan for 2006, the sides planned further holding of informational-educational radio and TV programs for teenagers and youth, and conduct of training seminars on healthy lifestyle.
