Motorola begins supply of its GSM-systems to “Indigo-Somoncom” in northern Tajikistan

Khujand-based cellular operator “Indigo-Somoncom†has concluded a three-year agreement with Motorola on purchase of the “Reach†GSM-system.
DUSHANBE
, May 10, Asia-Plus - The Khujand-based cellular operator “Indigo-Somoncom” has announced signing of a three-year partnership agreement with Motorola. This agreement provides for expansion of the GSM-standard communication network belonging to the operator in the Sughd province.
Mansour Homidov, commercial director of the “Somoncom” operator, has told Asia-Plus that under this agreement Motorola is supplying its “Reach” GSM-system, which will allow “Indigo-Somoncom” raising quality of rendered services and expanding a range of activity of its network as well as preparing for further introduction of new technical decisions.

The cellular operator “Indigo-Somoncom” was established in March 200 as a result of an active cooperation with the
U.S.
company MCT. By early 2005, the “Indigo-Somoncom” operator has had more than 70,000 clients.
