DUSHANBE , June 19, Asia-Plus -- China ’s ZTE Corporation intends to implement three new projects in the Tajik telecommunications sector, presidential press service reported.

According to the source, this issue was discussed at a meeting of President Rahmonov with senior representatives from China ’s telecom leader in Shanghai on June 15. 

A total cost of these projects is US$70 million. 

Rahmonov has ordered relevant structures of Tajikistan to study a proposal of China ’s company.  ZTE Corporation has been working in Tajikistan for more than two years.  It is founder of the closed joint-stock company (CJSC) “TK-Mobile”, one of cellular operators in Tajikistan working on the CDMA-2000 IX standard.
