Journalistic associations’ coalition set up in Tajikistan

-Plus -- A Coalition of Journalistic Associations “Partnership for Democracy” has been established in
Tajikistan
.
According information from the National Association of the Independent Media of Tajikistan (Nansmit), leaderships of Media-alliance, Nansmit and
Tajikistan
’s Association of the Independent Electronic Media (TajANESMI) singed an agreement on the establishment of the coalition in
Dushanbe
at the end of the last week.
The source says the main objectives of the coalition are in establishing partnership between independent media of
Tajikistan
and all branches of power, consolidating journalistic community in the country and facilitating settlement of conflict situations in the field of media, protection of rights and interests of media and journalists, working out ethic norms of journalistic activity, etc.
For the purpose of regulating relations between the power and media, founders of the coalition also intend to set up public-state body with participation of representatives from the government, media associations and independent media in future, the source concluded.
