Representatives from US Senate visits Tajik DCA

, July 7, Asia-Plus - Representatives from U.S. Senate yesterday visited
Tajikistan
’s Drug Control Agency (DCA).
According to information from the DCA, Tajik drug control chief Rustam Nazarov met with Mr. John Blanc, consultant to the U.S. Senate, Ms. Elizabeth Horst, chairperson of department within the Senate, and Mr. Denver Fleming, adviser to the U.S. Embassy for the law enforcement issue.
“During the meeting Rustam Nazarov briefed guests on a drug situation in
Tajikistan
, the DCA achievements in preventing drug trafficking and prophylactic of drug addiction in the republic,” the source said. During visiting the DCA the
U.S.
delegation also familiarized itself with activities of the Agency’s analytical center, forensic medicine lab and depository for stockpiling confiscated drugs.
At the end of the meeting, Rustam Nazarov expressed gratitude to the U.S. Government and its diplomatic mission in
Tajikistan
for assistance and support in fighting drug trafficking.
