DUSHANBE
, July 10, Asia-Plus -- The next meeting of the Tajik-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic and trade cooperation has been adjourned until September, according to information from the Russian Embassy in
Dushanbe
.
“The exact date of the session is still unknown; it may possibly be held in September,” the source said.
As it had been reported earlier, the next ninth session of the Tajik-Russian commission for economic cooperation was supposed to be held in
Moscow
on June 28. The source sys the session was postponed because the sides have not yet reached an agreement on the type and the height of a dam of the Roghun hydropower plant being constructed in Tajikistan by Russian aluminum giant “Russian Aluminum” (RusAl).
The ninth commission of the Tajik-Russian economic commission is supposed to discuss more than 10 issues. At present Tajik ministries and organizations are considering draft minute of the session submitted by the Russian side.
