DUSHANBE, August 21, Asia-Plus -- The first test flight Saratov-Moscow-Qurghon Teppa was conducted last, Saturday August 19.
Aircraft of “Saratov Air Lines” company landed at the Qurghon Teppa airport at 8:30 a.m. The first passengers of this flight were representatives from the Saratov regional administration and Tajik labor migrants, who retuned home from Russia.
A delegation of high-ranking Khatlon local officials led by the Khatlon governor Amirsho Miraliyev met the first passengers of this flight at the airport.
Russian delegation held talks with the Khatlon authorities and Tajik businessmen to discuss cooperation issues. Their talks, in particular, focused on possible Tajik farm produce supplies to Saratov, fuel supplies to Tajikistan, as well as launch of joint ventures in different sectors of economy.
According to Mr. Aleksandr Yakovlev, ex-minister of economy of the Saratov region, who arrived in Qurghon Teppa on this flight, Saratov was ready to thoroughly expand cooperation with the Khatlon province in the fields such as transportation, economy, healthcare and education.
The flight Saratov-Moscow-Qurghon Teppa is expected to become regular by the end of August.
