DUSHANBE, September 1, Asia-Plus - Tajik TV channel “Safina” intends to run daily news bulletins in the Russian language as well. The first news bulletin in Russian will be broadcast on the “Safina” channel today, at 9:00 p.m.
Ms. Nasiba Ghulomova, chief editor of the news department, has told Asia-Plus that “Safina” will run news bulletins twice a day, at 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. “Initiator of running news bulletins in Russian is the “Safina” director Mahmadsaid Pirov,” Ms. Ghulomova said, noting that for running news in Russian young specialists have been recruited. “The majority of them are graduates from Russian-Tajik Slavic University in Dushanbe,” she noted.
In future, they are supposed to organize live broadcasts in Russian from the regions as well. “At present “Safina” has its Russian-speaking correspondents in all regions of the country,“ the Asia-Plus interlocutor said.
Launch of news bulletins in Russian is timed to coincide with the first anniversary of the “Safina” channel, which was established on September 3, 2005.
