DUSHANBE, September 7, Asia-Plus - The fifth session of the CIS interstate council for industrial security opens in the Moldavian capital city of Chisinau today.
The meeting participants include representatives from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Romania. Tajikistan is represented at this meeting by Qosimbek Olimbekov, the head of the production and science department of the Ministry of Industry.
According to information from the Ministry of Industry, the session is aiming to consider issues of providing safety in industrial sector. Participants at the meeting also will exchange information about cases and effects of accidents and catastrophes at industrial facilities within the CIS area.
The session also plans to consider and endorse a concept of interaction between the CIS states in the field of industrial security and discuss issues related to training of skilled personnel in safety device.
