DUSHANBE, September 20, Asia-Plus - Republican Association of Family Doctors of Tajikistan intends to set up a network of regional associations across the country.   

The Association deputy chairperson Firuza Abdulloyeva says there will be four regional associations: in Gorno Badakhshan; Khatlon; Sughd and in Dushanbe.  

According to her, the first meeting of the Sughd regional association will be held in Khujand on September 22.  The meeting will discuss the association’s structure and its functions.  

“The republican association unites 450 family doctors, and the regional association for Sughd has 40 permanent members,” Abdulloyeva said.   

The Republican Association of Family Doctors was established in March 2000 on an initiative of the Ministry of Health.
