DUSHANBE, October 9, Asia-Plus - Olimjon Boboyev, the leader of the Party of Economic Reforms also rector of Tajikistan’s Institute of Transport, noted that one of priorities and main directions of his program for the upcoming presidential election.
He underlined growth in industrial production and support for small and medium-sized enterprises as factors contributing to improvement of well-being of Tajikistan’s population. He pointed to the necessity of adopting a complex system of measures to tackle political and social problems facing Tajik society.
Asked about an application by the Ministry of Communications to close a number of website, Boboyev said that it is a temporary measure.
The Communists’ candidate for president, Ismoil Talbakov, answering this question said that all media should be free and open. He noted that this decision most likely has “technical character.”
