KHOROG, November 2, Asia-Plus - A regional organization of the Democratic Party (DPT) for Gorno Badakhshan has temporarily suspended its activity.

Marod Mirasanov, the head of the DPT regional organization in Gorno Badakhshan, said in an interview with Asia-Plus that they consider that the party’s managing board had made an unfounded decision to boycott the presidential election and caused a split within the party. 

“I consider that we should participate in the election and support the candidate nominated by the People’s Democratic Party (PDPT),” said Mirasanov, “Otherwise, I will leave the party and join another one.”
